Abstract

Interleaving material for leaf-springs comprises a matrix having a facing of polytetrafluorethylene. The matric may be a strip of sintered, pitted or perforated copper, copper gauze, phosphated steel or a resin-bonded fabric. The fluorethylene may be applied as foil, powder or as a suspension. Alternatively a resin-bonded fabric matrix may be obtained by moulding polytetrafluorethylene powder mixed with phenol-formaldehyde resin powder and asbestos fibres. Specifications 657,080, [Group VIII], and 657,085, [Group XXXIV], are referred to.
