694,640. Glazing. SHARP, A. July 17, 1951 [April 17, 1950], No. 9405/50. Class 20(iii) Glazing means comprise a bar having an upstanding central web a with a bulbous head o, and base flanges b for supporting the glass d, with weather channels between the web and the flanges, the channels being formed with undercut recesses f under which the outwardly turned feet k of a saddle shaped capping strip h engage. The strip is formed withlateral wings m engaging the upper surface of the glass; these wings may be integral with the strip e.g. when made of extruded aluminium alloy or bronze, or they may be separate from'but welded to the strip, e.g. when made of sheet metal. The bulbous head of the glazing bar expands the limbs of the capping strip so that the feet spring under the shoulders , # as the strip is forced down.
