685,420. Mixing appliances. BASIC REFRACTORIES, Inc. April 12, 1951 [Sept. 30, 1950]. No. 8574/51. Class 86 [Also in Group XXIX] A nozzle for projecting granular materials includes a housing 2, a cylindrical ring 4, a closure ring 10, and a projection pipe 16. A peripheral flange 5 on the ring 4 provides interconnected annular passages A and L, which are supplied with air and liquid respectively from inlets 13 and 22. The air passes from the passage A to the passage L and the mixture flows from a series of openings 6 to mix with granular material fed through an extension 12. The pipe 16 is of rubber or the like and is reinforced by a metal sleeve 18.
