679,954. Hollowware. GATEWARE PRODUCTS, Ltd. June 8, 1951 [June 8, 1950], No. 14267/50. Class 66 A cooking utensil comprises a pan with a lower portion a and an upper portion a<SP>1</SP> of greater size than the lower portion, a ledge c being formed between them on which may be placed an inner container B stepped at its lower end b to enter the lower portion of the pan and having a perforated base b<SP>1</SP>. The pan may be provided with handles C and C<SP>1</SP> coated with heat insulating composition and a lid D. The container B has handles C<SP>2</SP> pivoted on pipe b<SP>2</SP> pressed inwards from the periphery of the container. It is stated that when the pan is used without the inner part B the larger cross-sectional area of the upper part reduces the risk of boiling over.
