Abstract

658,085. Coin-freed article-delivery apparatus. PAMMENT, F. T. Sept. 16, 1949,. No. 23907. [Class 27] Mechanism for delivering drinking cups from a coin-freed apparatus comprises a series of platforms 1, 2 and 3 on which the cups are stored between rods 12 radiating from a central vertical shaft 11. Openings 5, 7 and 8, one in each platform, are out of alignment so that, at each step-wise rotation of the shaft 11, a cup is passed from each platform and through the opening to the platform below, whilst that from the lowermost platform passes out to a delivery shoot 6, the platforms being depleted in turn from the uppermost downwardly. The shaft 11 is fitted with a ratchet wheel 13 by which it is rotated step-wise by means of a pawl 14 from the associated coin-freed apparatus.
