636,441. Magnetic tests and measurements. MAGNETIC ANALYSIS CORPORATION. Feb. 16, 1948, No. 4503. Convention 'date, Nov. 19, 1942. [Class 37] In a system for testing magnetic material, the travelling material 7 forms the core of a transformer, a secondary 8 of which is coupled to an instrument 15 for indicating variations in amplitude or phase, by way of a filter network 10-13, designed to eliminate the supply frequency and comprising a circuit tuned to a higher frequency and arranged to be shockexcited by the distortion impulse of the exciting waveform due to the test material. The transformer may also have a group of secondaries 16-19 connected in series, two of which are variably tapped, connected so as normally to produce a very small output and coupled via a matching transformer 23 and a filter network 25-28 similar to that described above, to an indicator 30, and if desired an oscillograph 33. Specification 520,328 is referred to. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, the filter network 25-28 was optional. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
