Abstract

634,004. Two-part couplings. KOOPERATIVA FORBUNDET, FORENING, U.P.A., and BRANDER, B. J. March 1, 1948, No. 6415. [Class 38 (i)] A socket 18 suitable for a razor having different circuits for different voltages, is provided with pairs of spring contacts 19, 20 in a cavity 21 which receives a plug 26 having embedded terminals 23 connected to an electric cord and slots 22 which guide the contacts 19 or 20 into engagement with the terminals. The plug can be inserted in the socket in two positions which are indicated on the plug by an arm 24 which is movable into positions at right-angles to each other, and engages a socket groove 25. The plug and socket may have three contacts at 120 degrees for a split-winding motor.
