Abstract

628,734. Rocket magazines. HYDRAN PRODUCTS, Ltd., and MOTLEY, L. Nov. 15, 1945, No. 22604/44. [Class 92 (ii)] A magazine for feeding rockets 3 to a projector trough 5 has an annular shoot 1 through which the rockets are fed forwards one by one to the trough by a presser, such as the spring-biassed arm 6, non-return means being provided to prevent retrograde movement of the the rounds by the blast of the rocket being fired. In the form'shown, the arm 6 has rollers 8 engaging the rounds and extends radially from a sleeve 15 rotated on an axial shaft 16 by torsion springs 9 wound by rotating their abutment 17. Retrograde movement of the arm is prevented by a pawl 19 engaging a ratchet wheel 18 on the sleeve 15. -For recharging, the magazine may be swung aside about a hinge 10. Specification 584,743 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 589,177 and 596,288.
