[Class 20(iii)] [Also in Groups XI, XV, XVIII and XXIII] Stained glass windows are simulated, and other ornamental devices are formed, by sticking on one of the faces of a transparent vitreous base a large number of small pieces of differently coloured vitreous material, at least most of which are transparent, of greatly varying thicknesses and superposed to produce relief effects. A glass cover plate may be provided, and opaque masks may be provided on the rear face of the transparent base. The transparent base may be plane, bulged, cylindrical or spherical.
