[Class 30] The unhardened metal strip for safety-razor blades is scored through the three locating holes, usual for double-edged blades, and parallel with the edges so that the finished strip or blade length may be broken into single-edged blades of less than half the standard width. The blade i, Fig. 2, has indentations b through the usual apertures c, d to form two blades i1, i2 and a strip l which is broken away. The length e, Fig. 4, of each blade is equal to the length of the cutting edges j, j1 so that the blade will fit between corner projections o and fit any central bars n or irregular studs q, Fig. 5. In a modification, Fig. 7, the strip is narrower and the locating holes also narrower than usual ,the one line b<1> of indentation passing through the centres of the holes. This form will produce two single-edged blades without any strip l. In a further modification, the strip is still narrower and the holes are offset to one side with a single indentation so as to provide a single-edged blade and a narrow waste strip.
