547,830. Electric water heaters. HOLMES D. M. March 11, 1941, No. 3337. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric water heater comprises a helical flattened tube 11 through which water flows, in contact with a similar insulating tube 14 divided longitudinally by a partition 15 and containing a heating element 16. The coils are surrounded by an insulating cylinder 19, with ends through which the water tube passes. The upper end has a rotatable part 23 formed plate 24 sliding over a with a perforated similar plate 25, which adjusts the flow of water. A lip 26 on the cover overhangs the switch 18. The current may be controlled, by a thermostat 27 in the water near the outlet. The heater may be provided with a rubber connection 12 for connection to a water tap.
