Abstract

546,141. Wireless receiving apparatus. COOPER, A. H. Nov. 26, 1940, No. 16936. [Class 40 (v)] A single permeability tuned inductance 1 serves as the sole variable tuning device. For the long and medium wave bands, a wave change switch 3 switches in the appropriate short condenser 2 or 4, while for the short wave bands the appropriate circuit 5, 6 or 7, 8 is switched in shunt, the values of the components being chosen to give band spreading on the short waves. By using the ganged wave-change switches, one or both of the condensers 6, 8 may be replaced by condensers 2, 4.
