Abstract
526,111. Television; valve generating circuits. FAUDELL, C. L. March 7, 1939, No. 7361. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] The blocking oscillator for producing the deflecting voltage also generates a bias potential to suppress the beam during fly-back. The grids 5, 6, Fig. 1, are coupled by coils 7, 8, and an additional coil 9 shunted by a resistance 10 is connected to the cathode 11 of the tube 3. In modifications, the cathode 11 is connected to the inner-grid circuit of the valve by condenserresistance combinations that determine the duration of the bias impulse, Figs. 2, 3 (not shown). The bias impulse may be applied to a grid of the tube 3 through a diode that conducts only when the potential is below a suitable value. Fig. 4 (not shown).
