514,786. Mixing fluids in flow. BENNETT (HYDE), Ltd. May 16, 1938, No. 14506. Convention date, May 14, 1937. [Class 86] Apparatus for diluting size or other viscous liquids comprises an injector by means of which a stream of water &c. is mixed with a proportionate amount of the size, the injector being furnished with a by-pass whereby a further supply of water is added to the mixture. Water under pressure is supplied through a pipe 10 to aligned nozzles 17, 18 which induce a flow of size up the pipe 16 which dips into a barrel. The stream impinges on a plug 19 thus producing turbulence to effect complete mixing, and is discharged through a valve 15. An added supply of water passes through the pipe 13 fitted with a valve 20.
