[Class 44] A holder for keys of the revolving barrel pintumbler lock type comprises a pair of guardplates 1 held together in spaced relationship by countersunk screws 3 passing through apertures near the ends of one plate and entering internally-threaded sleeves upstanding from the other plate. The keys are pivotally mounted on the screws and sleeves which allow adjustment of the distance between the plates according to the number of superposed keys to be held. The keys 4, 5 fold into place side-by-side between the guard plates which are cut away at 6 to expose portions 7 of the keys. Pressure on the portions 7 of one set of keys moves the other set outwards until their free ends are accessible to allow further movement of a selected key into fully exposed position for use. Springs such as 8 may be provided to hold the keys normally between the guard plates. In a modification, the guard plates are spaced apart by upstanding lugs 10, on a third plate 9, Fig. 4, positioned between the guard plates, which have a contour corresponding to that of spacing plate 9.. In this case variation of distance between the guard-plates is effected by selection of a plate 9 having lugs 10 of appropriate height. Lugs 10 also serve as stops to ensure that the sets of keys mounted on the two pivots can only be moved into and out of the holder on opposite sides thereof. Plates 1 may have marks to allow identification of the keys by feel.
