Abstract

415,962. Wireless receiving-apparatus. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 7, 1934, No. 7293. Convention date, April 29, 1933. [Class 40 (v).] The wave-change switch of a wireless receiver is mechanically coupled with a device for modifying the bias and therefore the amplification of at least one of the valves. The valve is biassed by the potential drop in resistance 11 which is in series with resistances 12, 13 across the potentiometer 17. On closing the wave-change switch 14, 15, the resistance 12 is short-circuited and the bias is increased.
