Abstract
378,110. Decorative lamps. HOLROYD, E. F. R. and BREVES, Ltd., 2, Basil Street, Knightsbridge, London. May 14, 1931, No. 14247. [Class 75 (iv).] A device for illuminating a vehicle mascot or other ornament 4 made of glass or like transparent material comprises a chamber 1 containing an electric lamp bulb 12 and provided with an aperture, the side wall of the chamber being formed with an inwardly extending shouldered recess 2 below the mouth of the aperture, and 'the base 3 of the ornament being secured in the recess by means of a retaining member wedged, soldered, riveted, or otherwise rigidly secured to the chamber. The retaining member may comprise a split ring 5 adapted to fit the annular space between the base 3 and the inner wall of the recess. A rubber or other resilient washer 6 may be arranged between the base 3 and a coloured screen 7 of glass, mica, or other transparent or translucent material.
