Abstract

378,023. Thermionic distributers. COMMUNICATION PATENTS, Inc., 60, Broadway, New York, U.S.A. May 1, 1931, No. 12867. Convention date, Oct. 4, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] A system for the multiplex transmission of telephone, television, and other signal currents by means of a thermionic distributer comprises a crystal-controlled oscillator 42 operating at 100 k/c and rendering operative alternately oscillators 44, 45 working at 200 k/c. Each of these similarly controls a pair of oscillators working at 400 k/c and each of these renders operative alternately a pair of microphone, television, or like circuits 1 to 8 feeding a common transmission line to which is fed also for synchronizing a portion of the current generated by the master oscillator. Wireless or wired wireless may be employed for transmission to the receiving station at which the synchronizing current is separated from the signals and controls a master oscillator which controls in the manner described above further oscillators to render operative at the appropriate instants the various receiving instruments 1 to 8.
