Abstract
355,068. Attaching watches to the wrist. SMITH, EWEN, & STYLIC, Ltd. and HARMAN, A. H., 42, Frederick Street, Birmingham. Sept. 18, 1930, No. 27845. [Class 43.] In means for detachably connecting a bracelet to a loop c of a watch-case, a tube or sleeve a hinged or otherwise permanently connected to the end of the bracelet, is formed with a longitudinal openended slot wide enough to pass over the bar of the watch-loop, and is secured in position by a closure slide b adapted to be slid endwise into the sleeve to close the slot. The slide b may comprise arc-section portions b<1>, b<2> and a rib b<3> integral with them which closes the slot; or a longitudinal rib or beading wider than the slot may be provided to lie along the outside of the tube when the slide is in position, and may be joined to the slide by a narrow web passing through the slot. The slide may be formed at one end with a head or enlargement to facilitate insertion and withcrawal.
