Abstract

336,725. Goralski, M. Aug. 27, 1929. Driving auxiliary parts.-Cam plates 2, 3 which together make a complete wheel are mounted upon a shaft 1 and hollow shaft 4 respectively. On suitably turning the cams by coupling the shafts to the engine shaft 27 the front axle is first raised and then carried to one side. The shaft 27 is in two parts separated by a clutch member 29, operated by a lever 32. If the lever is moved forward a worm 26 drives a wheel 25 in train with mechanism for rotating the shafts 1, 4. The cam 2, Fig. 6, in normal position overlaps the cam 3, but when the clutch 29 is operated the shaft 1 is rotated carrying with it the cam 2 and raising the front axle. When the cams form a wheel as shown they are rotated together and the front of the car is carried to one side.
