Washing-machines with rotary dollies. - A washing-machine comprises a receptacle 14, Fig. 1, heated by a gas burner 38 and housed within a sheet metal cabinet 33 supported by angle iron corner pieces 31. An inverted boat-shaped stirrer is rotated or reciprocated within the receptacle, the shaft 17 on which it is mounted having a bearing in the pivoted cover of the receptacle. A handle 27, Fig. 3, is removably secured in a boss 19 at the upper end of the shaft 17. A bar 41 having side pieces 42 is secured to the upper frame 30 of the cabinet and serves to receive a wringer clamped thereto or, as shown, forms a support for a table cover 43, the other end of which is provided with a support 44. The interior of the cabinet may be lined with heat insulating material, and is provided with a flue 40. In a modification, Fig. 8, two receptacles are provided, one 42 of which only may be provided with a heater 43. This receptacle serves as the washer proper whilst the other receptacle 44 serves as a rinsing receptacle. A wringer may be clamped to a bar 50 and the intermediate legs 45 of the cabinet may support a partition 45a. In Fig. 10 one receptacle 54 serves as a copper whilst the other, 53, serves as the washing receptacle. In this form also the intermediate legs 70 support a transverse partition 70a and a wringer may be secured to a transverse bar 58 which also forms one of the supports for the table top or ironing- board &c. 57. A drip tray 60 for the wringer is provided at its front edge with rollers 63. The table cover may be formed in portions so that the copper may be uncovered whilst the washer is covered and the underside of one or both parts may be formed to act as a draining-board for crockery &c. being washed in the copper.
