Abstract

323,055. Klein, C. Oct. 3, 1928. Vehicles with removable bodies.-Hand trucks for barrels, boxes, &c., comprise side members 10, curved transverse numbers 12 and toe members 36 rotatable in the members 10 to engage and disengage the load. For boxes and the like a flat frame comprising members 50, 52, Fig. 6, and a toe plate 56 is adapted to be clamped on the handtruck by means of lugs 60 adapted to take into apertures in the toe pieces 36 and a bar 64 adapted to engage the top-most transverse member 12. Handles 28 are provided which are in operative connection with the toe pieces 36 so that angulur movement of the handles effects a corresponding movement of the toe pieces 36. A member 38 having handles 40 is mounted on a member 14 to engage the barrel chine.
