Syringes. - Rinsing appliances for the mouth comprise a bottle B, filled with compressed gas such as carbon dioxide, and mounted in a fitting c secured to a bottle A filled with water. On screwing down the casing h of the bottle B the gas is forced through bores k, k<1> and a lateral sleeve j in the member e, into the bottle A through a tube b. A valve m<1> actuated when required by a finger-piece o, releases the liquid, which is forced by the gas pressure through the duct k and a tube s to a delivery nozzle.
