Abstract
A covid indicator unit 1 that receives a mobile phone wherein the unit provides direct alignment via openings 10 with the phone camera and its illuminating means. The phone camera may take an image of the covid test reactive substance 9. The reactive substance may interact with exhaled breath that contains covid particles and the reactive substance can be photographed or videoed by the mobile phone. The covid indicator unit may provide differing reactive mediums that are used within the unit. The unit may have a selection of apertures/openings 10 that provide interaction with a variety of mobile phone configurations.
Description
Covid Indicator This invention relates to a device for detecting Covid in the exhaled breath of the user.
When tests for Covid are taken the results are given in several ways, some tests are designed to allow travel with results transmitted to phone and computer emails after swabs to nasal and throat areas are then tested for reactive effect, some tests are designed to give a bar readings after being subjected to nasal or throat swabs, then immersed in reactive liquids, this is then applied to material that has the reactive bar seen in contrast to its background, the reactive bar is seen against a clear background, results usually taken from in home test kits. We are constantly reminded that covid particles are expelled into the air from infected breath.
This invention seeks to analyse that breath as it leaves a person, and if it is contaminated with Covid particles, then these particles create a reaction on a reactive medium that is visible and immediately indicates the person has a covid infection as the reactive medium is illuminated by a frequency of light that illuminates the covid particles exhaled.
However the use of these existent methods can lead to a number of difficulties. Transmitted results not being received or even sent due to administrative errors by laboratories, and home test kits that do not give the accurate, at that moment indication, when they may have been used some hours before and are being shown to indicate a, now in the precise seconds result, that may have changed from the earlier test. To overcome these problems, the present invention proposes a phone attachment that gives an immediate indication that can be recorded or transmitted in real time, linking the tested person by phone number, photo and positive real time use linked to the result obtained in that precise moment. These existing test systems are also one use only intended, and then disposal of the complete systems. With this invention covid indicator, only the reactive indicative insert needs to be disposed of allowing the main body unit to be continually reused. Such inserts are individually sealed, ensuring no pre use contamination problems.
The continued developments of new strains of covid variants, has technological reactive mediums constantly evolving. However, the existing test facility's for infections, in the form of a PCR and lateral flow arrangements have remained the same.
The invention will now be described by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1, shows a covid indicator phone attachment unit 1, the open apertures 10 on both sides of the attachment unit, allow its placement in 6 different orientations over a number of different phone designs. Giving camera and light options for optimum operation.
Figure 2, shows a covid indicator phone attachment unit with multiple use opening 10 for test inserts 2, all inserts 2 are made for a snug fit. A step fitting 12 on inserts 2 corresponds to a receiving step insert ledge on openings 10. The opening 11 is for a power jack access to the normal phone audio area, from this power jack a fitting produces the necessary light in differing wave band needs to illuminate the reactive medium 9 fitted inside an exhaled breath tube 7 from breath breathed in to the housing 7 through the mouth piece 8 that then passes interactively through 9 before leaving the housing 7 at exit holes 4.
Figure 3, shows a covid indicator phone attachment unit whereby the diameter at 6 is greater than the diameter at 5 permitting a slot in snug fit to the section 2, that sits into 1, a phone camera image to be taken of the reactive medium, this is illuminated by the phone light A if required through the open area of land fitting 13 along path A. Figure 4, shows a covid indicator reactive medium 9 base, with a QR code 14, that is displayed for identification in photo or video imagery when viewed along axis A. Figure 5, shows a phone attachment unit with alternative camera and light arrangement for differing phone designs, in cases where the camera light is not in close proximity to the camera. The area 11 opening allows for a jack power lead 16 to connect between the phone jack and a reactive light source 15, that will sit in close proximity to 9 housed in 7 to illuminate 9, such power source can be in the LW wavelengths or other tailored wavelengths corresponding to differing reactive inserts.
