Abstract
The present invention relates to an electronic device (1) which enables to carry out an authentication transaction as offline without having to be online. The device comprises a first reader (3) that enables to detect biometric data of a person, a second reader (4) that ensures the data embedded into a data carrier -that is located on an article such as identity which is evident to belong to a person being authenticated and that keeps at least one biometric data about the person under record in itself- are read; and a processing unit (5) that is connected with the first reader (3) and the second reader (4) and configured to compare the data between two readers and to carry out an authentication transaction in the event that the two data match with each other but to refuse the authentication transaction in the event that the two data do not match with each other.
Claims (13)
1. An electronic device (1) which enables to carry out an authentication transaction as offline without having to be online; comprising a body (2); at least one first reader (3) which is located on the body (2) and enables to detect at least one biometric data of a person who will carry out an authentication transaction; and characterized by at least one second reader (4) which is located on the body (2), ensures that the data embedded into a data carrier -that is located on an article such as identity which is evident to belong to a person being authenticated and that keeps at least one biometric data about the person under record in itself- are read; and at least one processing unit (5) which is connected with the first reader (3) and the second reader (4) and configured to compare at least one biometric data that is read by means of the first reader (3) with the biometric data that is read by means of the second reader (4) and corresponds to the biometric data being read by means of the first reader (3) and to carry out an authentication transaction in the event that the biometric data read match with each other as a result of the comparison transaction but to refuse the authentication transaction in the event that the biometric data read do not match with each other as a result of the comparison transaction.
2. An electronic device (1) according to Claim 1; characterized by the body (2) which keeps the first reader (3), the second reader (4) and the processing unit (5).
3. An electronic device (1) according to Claim 1 or 2; characterized by the body (2) which keeps the first reader (3) and the second reader (4) as externally accessible whereas keeps the processing unit (5) as externally inaccessible.
4. An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the first reader (3) which is located on the body (2) and configured to detect at least one biometric data of the person who carries out the authentication transaction.

An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the first reader (3) which is at least one reader that is selected among a group comprising fingerprint reader, retina print reader, palm print reader, vascular print reader, tongue print reader, wet signature pattern reader.
6. An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the first reader (3) which is configured to send the biometric data read to the processing unit (5).

An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the second reader (4) which is located on the body (2) and configured to read the data embedded into a data carrier that is located on an article such as identity, driving license, passport which is evident to belong to a person being authenticated and that keeps at least one biometric data about the person under record in itself.

An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the second reader (4) which is a chip reader circuit that is located in articles such as identity or passport and that is suitable to read a chip wherein at least one biometric data about the person owning the said article is embedded.
9. An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the second reader (4) which is configured to send the read biometric data to the processing unit (5).

An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processing unit (5) which is located on the body (2) and it is in connection with the first reader (3) and the second reader (4) such that it can receive the biometric data read by the first reader (3) and the second reader (4) from the first reader (3) and the second reader (4).
11. An electronic device (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processing unit (5) which is configured to compare the biometric data received from the first reader (3) with the data received from the second reader (4).
12. An electronic device (1) according to Claim 11; characterized by the processing unit (5) which is configured to carry out the authentication transaction positively in the event that the biometric data compared with one another as a result of the comparison transaction are the same.
13. An electronic device (1) according to Claim 11; characterized by the processing unit (5) which is configured to refuse the authentication transaction in the event that the biometric data compared with one another as a result of the comparison transaction are different.
