Abstract

There is provided a solar powered electrical appliance having solar power means integrally formed therewith, connectable thereon and/or associated therewith. The electrical appliance is capable of operating in at least two different power usage conditions. The electrical appliance includes control means which are arranged to detect electrical charge or power availability from the solar power means and, based on the available electrical charge or power determine which of the at least two different power usage conditions the electrical appliance is to operate in.
