Description

VEHICLE INCLUDING BICYCLE FIXING DEVICE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention [0001]
The present invention relates to a vehicle including a bicycle fixing device.
Description of the Related Art [0002]
Conventionally, a bicycle has been fixed on a carrier on a roof to carry the bicycle by a vehicle. Accordingly, the bicycle has been undesirably exposed to rain, dusts, and the like.
In such situation, in recent years, vehicles capable of housing a bicycle in the vehicles have been developed. Such a vehicle includes a bicycle fixing device to fix a bicycle housed in the vehicle in a state that the bicycle stands.
[0003]
Herein, the bicycle fixing device described in Patent Document (the specification of United States Patent No. 6382480) is provided with a rail installed on the floor in the vehicle to mount a wheel of a bicycle and a fixing tool to fix the bicycle on the rail.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005]
However, the above-described bicycle fixing device is arranged such that the rail is slidable toward the outside of the vehicle. Accordingly, plural rollers are necessary to make the rail slidable, resulting in an increase in the number of components.
[0006]
In this situation, the present invention has been developed, addressing the above-described background, and an object of the invention is to provide a vehicle including a bicycle fixing device for which increase in the number of components is restricted.
[0007] In order to attain the above-described object, a vehicle according to the present invention includes' a bicycle fixing device for fixing a bicycle housed in the vehicle, wherein the bicycle fixing device includes' a rail fixed on a floor of the vehicle and used to mount the bicycle thereon! wherein the rail comprises a groove! and an arm for fixing the bicycle on the rail, wherein the arm is configured to be located inside the groove of the rail when the arm is folded, and is rotatable toward a door opening, and wherein the arm rotated toward the door opening is disposed such as to be able to fix the bicycle, in a state that the bicycle is at least partially located outside the vehicle through the door opening.
[0008] According to the invention, as the rail is fixed on the floor, rollers for sliding the rail is unnecessary. Accordingly, increase in the number of components of the bicycle fixing device is restricted.
Further, as the bicycle can be fixed on the arm rotated toward the door opening, maintenance of the bicycle can be carried out even without using a bicycle stand.
Still further, as the bicycle fixed on the arm rotated toward the door opening is at least partially located outside the vehicle, the floor hardly becomes dirty during maintenance.
[0009]
Further, the floor is preferably provided with a recessed portion recessed downward at which a front portion or a rear portion of the bicycle is disposed.
[0010]
By this structure, as the front portion or the rear portion of the bicycle is disposed at the recessed portion, the bicycle is set not in a horizontal state but in an inclined state so that the location of the saddle becomes lower. Accordingly, it is possible to avoid a work of lowering or removing a saddle in order to prevent the saddle from coming into contact with a roof.
[0011]
In another aspect of the invention, a structure may be arranged such that the recessed portion includes an inclined surface, the closer to the door opening a portion of the inclined surface being located, the higher the portion being located! and the arm rotated toward the door opening extends toward the door opening such as to be in contact with the inclined surface.
[0012]
In still another aspect of the invention, the arm rotated toward the door opening preferably straddles the door opening.
[0013]
By this structure, it is possible to dispose the bicycle, which is fixed on the arm, on a more outer side of the vehicle. Accordingly, the portion, of the bicycle, located on the outer side of the vehicle becomes larger, and the floor hardly becomes dirty during maintenance.
[0014]
In yet another aspect of the invention, a maintenance bench is preferably provided in a vicinity of the door opening.
[0015]
By this structure, a worker can carry out maintenance, sitting on the maintenance bench, which enables relief of the work of the worker.
[0016]
According to the invention, it is possible to provide a vehicle including a bicycle fixing device for which increase in the number of components is restricted.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION [0018]
In the following, a vehicle in an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0019]
As shown in FIG.l and FIG. 2, a vehicle V in the present embodiment is arranged such that if the rear seat 40 of the vehicle V in the present embodiment is inclined forward, the housing space of a trunk room T expands so that a bicycle 70 can be housed.
Further, the back face 41 of the inclined rear seat 40 forms a face continuous with the floor panel 50 of the trunk room T and horizontal, in other words, the floor of the vehicle V so that the bicycle 70 can be mounted on the back face 41.
[0020]
The vehicle V includes a first bicycle fixing device 1A for fixing the bicycle 70 disposed on the left side of the trunk room T and a second bicycle fixing device IB for fixing the bicycle 70 disposed on the right side of the trunk room T.
Hereinafter, the first bicycle fixing device 1A and the second bicycle fixing device IB will be collectively referred to as ‘bicycle fixing device 1’. The first bicycle fixing device 1A corresponds to a ‘bicycle fixing device’ according to the present invention.
[0021]
The bicycle fixing device 1 is used to fix the bicycle 70 in a state of standing in the trunk room T. The bicycle 70 fixed by the bicycle fixing device 1 is in state that a front wheel 80 is removed from a front fork 71.
The front wheel 80 is fixed inside the trunk room T by a later-described front wheel fixing device 32 (see FIG. 4).
The first bicycle fixing device 1A will be described as a representative example in the following description of the bicycle fixing device 1, and the second bicycle fixing device IB will be described only on the differences from the first bicycle fixing device 1A.
[0022]
As shown in FIG. 2, the first bicycle fixing device lAis fixed on the back face 41 of the rear seat 40, and provided with a first rail 11, which is fixed on the back face 41 of the rear seat 40 to mount the rear wheel 72 of the bicycle 70, a second rail 12 fixed on the floor panel 50, and an arm 20 arranged on the second rail 12 to fix the front fork 71 of the bicycle 70.
Accordingly, regarding the bicycle 70 fixed on the first bicycle fixing device 1A, the front fork 71 is disposed on the floor panel 50 (the second rail 12), and the rear wheel 72 is disposed on the back face 41 (the first rail 11) of the rear seat 40.
[0023]
Incidentally, the floor panel 50 in the present embodiment is provided with a recessed portion 51, which is recessed lower than the back face 41 of the rear seat 40. Accordingly, the front fork 71 disposed on the floor panel 50 is disposed lower than the rear wheel 72. Thus, the bicycle 70 is housed in the trunk room T in an inclined state. As a result, the position of a saddle 73 located at the highest position of the components of the bicycle 70 is lowered so that a saddle 73 hardly comes in contact with a roof (not shown).
Incidentally, in case that the saddle 73 comes in contact with the roof even with this structure, the saddle 73 is lowered or removed, and then housed in the bicycle 70. A bottom surface 51a of the recessed portion 51 is a flat surface, a front inclined surface 5 lb is an inclined surface, a portion of which is located higher as the portion is located closer to the front side, and a rear inclined surface 51c of the recessed portion 51 is an inclined surface, wherein the closer to the rear (a door opening 60) a portion of the inclined surface is located, the higher the portion is located.
In the following, the details of the first rail 11, the second rail 12, and the arm 20 will be described.
[0024]
As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the first rails 11 and the second rails 12 are respectively extended in the front-rear direction.
The upper surface of the first rail 11 is provided with a groove 11a for inhibiting the rear wheel 72 of the bicycle 70 from falling off from the first rail 11.
Further, the front portion of the groove 11a is provided with a stopper 13 protruding upward to restrict the rolling and forward moving of the rear wheel 72.
[0025]
The second rail 12 is continuous from the first rail 11, allowing the rear wheel 72 of the bicycle 70 to roll and move on the second rail 12.
Incidentally, the arm 20 is arranged on the second rail 12. Accordingly, in the present embodiment, arrangement is made such that the rear wheel 72 rolls and moves on the second rail 12 through the arm 20. [0026]
The second rail 12 extends forward from the bottom surface 51a of the recessed portion 51, has a crank shape, and extends along the floor panel 50. Further, the top surface of the second rail 12 is provided with a groove 12a.
[0027]
As shown in FIG. 3, the arm 20 is supported by a hinge portion 15 provided at the rear end of the second rail 12 to be rotatable toward the door opening 60 (see arrow Ain FIG. 3).
As shown in FIG. 4, the arm 20 rotated toward the door opening 60 is disposed such as to be able to fix the bicycle 70 in a state that the bicycle 70 is at least partially disposed outside the vehicle through the door opening 60. Accordingly, even without using a bicycle stand, maintenance of the bicycle 70 can be carried out.
In the following description of the arm 20, a case where the arm 20 is disposed on the second rail 12 will be first described, and then a case where the arm 20 is thereafter rotated toward the door opening 60 will be described.
[0028]
As shown in FIG. 5A, the arm 20 is provided with an arm main body 21 extending along the second rail 12 in the front-rear direction, and a branch portion 22 branching upward from the rear end portion of the arm main body 21 and extending forward to join with the middle portion of the arm main body 21. Further, a shaft member 16 of the hinge portion 15 penetrates through the rear end of the arm main body 21.
[0029]
As shown in FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B, the central portion, in the frontrear direction, of the branch portion 22 is provided with a first penetration hole 22a penetrating in the left-right direction, and a first fixing tool 23 is fitted to the first penetration hole 22a.
The first fixing tool 23 is arranged in order to fix the front fork 71 of the bicycle 70 disposed in the trunk room T at the arm 20 (see FIG. 2).
As shown in FIG. 5B, the first fixing tool 23 is provided with a shaft member 25 penetrating through the first penetration hole 22a, a nut 26 screwengaged with one end of the shaft member 25, and a lever 27 provided integrally with the other end side of the shaft member 25. The first fixing tool 23 is rotatable with respect to the arm 20 with the shaft member 25 as the rotation shaft.
[0030]
In fixing the bicycle 70, the front fork 71 is disposed such as to sandwich the branch portion 22 from the left and right sides, and recessions, which are formed at the respective lower ends of the front fork 71, are hooked to the shaft member 25. If the lever 27 is fastened, the nut 26 and the lever 27 fasten the front fork 71, and the front fork 71 is thus fixed to the arm 20. In such a manner, the front fork 71 is fixed in a state of extending upward from the arm 20, in other words, in a state that the bicycle 70 stands (see FIG. 2).
Further, as the first fixing tool 23 is arranged at the branch portion 22 located upper than the arm main body 21, the lever 27 hardly comes into contact with the second rail 12 and the floor panel 50.
[0031]
Further, a second penetration hole 22b is formed at the part (the middle portion of the arm main body 21) where the arm main body 21 and the branch portion 22 meet, and a second fixing tool 24 is fitted to the second penetration hole 22b.
The second fixing tool 24 is used to fix the front fork 71 of the bicycle 70 at the arm 20 when the arm 20 is rotated toward the door opening 60. Similarly to the first fixing tool 23, the second fixing tool 24 is provided with a shaft member 25, a nut 26, and a lever 27.
[0032]
The second fixing tool 24 is provided anterior to the first fixing tool 23 and is arranged such as to be located posterior to the first fixing tool 23 when the arm 20 is rotated toward the door opening 60 (see virtual lines in FIG. 5A).
By this second fixing tool 24, the bicycle 70 can be fixed on more outer side of the vehicle, compared with a case of using the first fixing member 23. In other words, the portion, of the bicycle 70, located outside the vehicle becomes larger so that possibility for the floor to become dirty during maintenance is lowered.
[0033]
The arm main body 21 is, as shown in FIG. 5A, in a crank shape, and is located inside the groove 12a of the second rail 12. Accordingly, when the bicycle 70 is fixed by the first fixing tool 23 and a load is applied to the arm 20 in the left-right direction, the arm main body 21 engages with the groove 12a so that the movement of the arm 20 in the left-right direction is restricted. In such a manner as described above, it is possible to avoid a case that the arm 20 moves in the left-right direction and the shaft member 16 of the hinge portion 15 is thereby bent.
[0034]
Further, the thickness Tl, in the upper-lower direction, of the front portion 21a of the arm main body 21 is formed smaller than the depth T2 of the groove 12a. Accordingly, when the rear wheel 72 rolls and moves on the front portion 21a of the arm main body 21, the rear wheel 72 is blocked by the groove 12a so that the rear wheel 72 hardly falls off from the second rail 12.
[0035]
As shown by the virtual line in FIG. 5A, when the arm 20 is rotated toward the door opening 60 (see arrow B in FIG. 5A), the branch portion 22 comes into contact with the rear inclined surface 51c of the recessed portion 51, and the arm 20 extends oblique-upward on the rear side, in other words toward the door opening 60, from the hinge portion 15.
The arm main body 21 straddles the door opening 60, and the front portion 21a of the arm main body 21 becomes located on the outside of the vehicle. Further, the first fixing tool 23 and the second fixing tool 24 become located anterior to the door opening 60 and adjacent to the door opening 60. The second fixing tool 24 is rotatable with respect to the arm 20 with the shaft member 25 as the rotation shaft.
[0036]
In order to fix the bicycle 70 on the arm 20 rotated toward the door opening 60, the bicycle 70 is lifted, as shown in FIG. 4, and the frame (down tube) 78 of the bicycle 70 is mounted on the front end surface 21b of the arm main body 21.
Incidentally, the front end surface 21b of the arm main body 21 is recessed at the central portion, in the left-right direction, thereof so that the frame 78 hardly falls off (see FIG. 3).
[0037]
Then, the front fork 71 is moved close to the door opening 60, and the recessions at the lower ends of the front fork 71 are hooked on the shaft member 25 of the second fixing tool 24. If the lever 77 of the second fixing tool 24 is fastened, the nut 26 and the lever 27 fasten the front fork 71 so that the front fork 71 is fixed on the arm 20.
[0038]
Thus, the bicycle 70 is fixed on the arm 20 in a state that the rear wheel 72 and pedals 74 are located outside the vehicle. Accordingly, even when maintenance such as cleaning the rear wheel 72 and the pedals 74 is carried out, the inside of the trunk room T is prevented from becoming dirty.
Further, as the bicycle 70 is in a state of being lifted by the arm main body 21 and the rear wheel 72 is in the air, the rear wheel 72 and a chain (not shown) can be rotated, which enables easy maintenance.
Further, as the base portion side of the arm main body 21 is reinforced by the branch portion 22, the bicycle 70 can be supported further firmly.
[0039]
On the other hand, the second bicycle fixing device IB is provided with a fixed arm 120 instead of the rotatable arm 20.
The fixed arm 120 is fixed on the second rail 12 and does not rotate toward the door opening 60. That is, the second bicycle fixing device IB cannot fix the bicycle 70 in a state that the bicycle 70 is at least partially located outside the vehicle through the door opening 60.
Further, the fixed arm 120 is provided only with a first penetration hole 22a, and only a first fixing tool 23 is arranged.
[0040]
The bicycle fixing device 1 has been described above. In the following, structures arranged the peripheries of the front wheel fixing device 32 and the bicycle fixing device 1 will be described.
[0041]
As shown in FIG. 1, a decorative member (metal member) 31 extending in the front-rear direction and being elongate is embedded on the left side surface 30 of the trunk room T, and the front wheel fixing device 32 is arranged at the front portion of the decorative member 31.
As shown in FIG. 6A, the front wheel fixing device 32 is an annular component supported through a long hole 31a of the decorative member 31, and is supported slidably anterior to the decorative member 31.
Further, a portion (hereinafter, referred to as ‘hook portion 33’), of the front wheel fixing device 32, disposed on the vehicle inner side than the decorative member 31 is formed substantially in a C-shape in a plan view, and protrudes on the vehicle interior side.
The hook portion 33 is provided with a holding recession 34 formed by cutting off a portion of the upper surface.
[0042]
In the following, the method of using the front wheel fixing device 32 will be described.
In case of not fixing the front wheel 80, in order to avoid a contact between the front wheel fixing device 32 and the rear seat 40, the front wheel fixing device 32 is slid backward as shown in FIG. 1.
In case of fixing the front wheel 80, the front wheel fixing device 32 is slid forward as shown in FIG. 3. Thus, the front wheel fixing device 32 moves close to the door opening of the left rear, not shown, located on the left side of the rear seat 40, and it is thereby easy to fix the front wheel 80, which is brought in from the door opening of the left rear, at the front wheel fixing device 32.
[0043]
Then, as shown in FIG. 6B, a shaft 82 penetrating through a hub 81 of the front wheel 80 is hooked to the holding recession 34, and a quick lever 83 is fastened. Thus, the quick lever 83 and a nut 84 fasten the hub 81 and the hook portion 33 so that the front wheel 80 is fixed on the front wheel fixing device 32.
Incidentally, the shaft 82, the quick lever 83, and the nut 84, which are used to fix the front wheel 80 to the front wheel fixing device 32, are components for fitting the front wheel 80 to the front fork 71.
The above using method has been described, taking an example where the front wheel 80 is brought in from the door opening of the left rear, however, a front wheel 80 brought in from the door opening 60 of the back door may be fixed.
[0044]
Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, an engagement recession 35 is formed on the lower surface of the trunk room T, and the front wheel 80 fixed on the front wheel fixing device 32 comes into the engagement recession 35. Thus, the front wheel 80 engages with the engagement recession 35, and the front wheel fixing device 32 and the front wheel 80 are prevented from moving in the front-rear direction.
[0045]
As shown in FIG. 1, a net 42 is provided on the back face 41 of the rear seat 40. Accordingly, it is possible to house things in an irregular shape, for example, a change of clothes.
Further, a dust box 52 is provided at the central portion of the floor panel 50 to house garbage during maintenance.
[0046] A left side surface 30 of the trunk room T is provided with a bottle box 57 for housing a bottle attached to and detached from the frame of the bicycle 70, and a water storage tank 58 for storing water to be put into the bottle.
As shown in FIG. 3, the water storage tank 58 can be taken out from the left side surface 30 and carried.
One end portion 59a of a carrying strap 59 of the water storage tank 58 is attachable to and detachable from the left side surface 30.
Accordingly, when the water storage tank 58 is housed in the left side wall and the one end portion 59a of the carrying strap 59 is attached to the left side surface 30, the carrying strap 59 takes the role of a band for sandwiching and holding the bottle.
[0047] A cosmetic panel 53 is provided on the rear end side of the floor panel 50.
The cosmetic panel 53 is provided with a left part panel 53a located on the left side, a central panel 53b located at the central portion, and a right part panel 53c located on the right side.
The central panel 53b and the right part panel 53c can be opened and closed (see arrow D in FIG. 3 and arrow E in FIG. 5), and a housing spaces are arranged respectively under the central panel 53b and the right part panel 53c.
An inflator (not shown) can be housed in the housing space under the central panel 53b, and a maintenance bench 54 can be housed in the housing space under the right part panel 53c.
Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 3, as the arm 20, which has rotated toward the door opening 60, extends above and partially in contact with the left part panel 53a, the left part panel 53a is fixed.
[0048]
The inflator is used to inflate the wheels of the bicycle 70 with air, and is provided with a hose 55 and a gauge (measure indicating the air pressure in a tire being inflated with air) 56. As shown in FIG. 3, the gauge 56 can be viewed through a cut-off portion arranged through the central panel 53b.
As shown in FIG. 4, the hose 55 can be drawn out of the vehicle by making the hose 55 pass through another cut-off portion of the central panel 53b so that a tire can be inflated with air without the necessity of taking out the inflator itself from the housing space.
[0049]
As shown in FIG. 4, the maintenance bench 54 is provided with a base table part (not shown) housed under the right part panel 53c, support arms 54a extending upward from the base table part, and a seating surface 54b supported by the support arms 54a. Incidentally, the support arm 54a extends outside the vehicle through a cut-off portion arranged through the cosmetic panel 53.
[0050]
The base table part and the support arms 54a are attachable to and detachable to and from each other. Accordingly, when the maintenance bench 54 is not used, the support arms 54a are detached from the base table part, and the support arms 54a and the seating surface 54b can be housed under the right part panel 53c.
The seating surface 54b is located above the bottom end portion of the door opening 60 and adjacent to the bicycle 70. Accordingly a worker can carry out maintenance of the bicycle 70 while sitting on the maintenance bench 54, which enables relieving the work.
Further, though not particularly shown, the right side wall of the trunk room T is provided with a housing box for housing maintenance tools. Accordingly, the worker can take out a maintenance tool from the housing box while sitting on the maintenance bench 54.
[0051]
As shown in FIG. 7, the vehicle V is provided with shafts 63 extending posterior to a tail gate 61 in a state that the tail gate 61 is open, and cylindrical tube portions 64 for slidably housing the shafts 63, the cylindrical tube portions 64 being fixed on the front surface of the tail gate 61.
The shafts 63 and the cylindrical tube portions 64 are provided on the left and right sides of the tail gate 61.
Further, by making the four corners of a shade 62 engage with the shafts 63 on the left and right sides, it is possible to set up the shade 62 posterior to the tail gate 61. Accordingly, the shady area can be expanded to the posterior to thereby enable relief of the work of the worker.
Incidentally, when the shade 62 is not used, the shafts 63 are housed in the cylindrical tube portions 64.
[0052]
For the first bicycle fixing device lAin the above-described embodiment, the first rail 11 and the second rail 12 are fixed on the floor (the back face 41 and the floor panel 50), wherein rollers for sliding a rail such as described in the description of the related art are not used. Thus, it is possible to provide a bicycle fixing device 1 for which increase in the number of components is restricted.
[0053]
An embodiment has been described above, however, the invention is not limited thereto.
For example, in the present embodiment, the arm 20 rotated toward the door opening 60 straddles the door opening 60, however, in carrying out the invention, arrangement may be made such that the arm 20 does not straddle the door opening 60.
However, as in the present embodiment, if the arm 20 straddles the door opening 60, the portion, of the bicycle 70, located outside the vehicle becomes larger, which is desirable because the possibility of making the floor dirty is reduced.
[0054]
Further, in the description of the present embodiment, an example in which the bicycle 70 is housed in the trunk room T was taken, however, the bicycle 70 may be housed in a space formed by inclining a second row seat and a third row seat, and housing of the bicycle 70 is not particularly limited as long as in the vehicle.
[0055]
Still further, in the present embodiment, the second rail 12 is provided, however, the invention may be carried out by a structure with a first rail 11 fixed on the back face 41 and an arm 20 fixed on the floor panel 50. Even with such a structure, reduction in the number of components can also be attained and the bicycle 70 can be fixed in a state that a portion thereof is outside the vehicle.
[0056]
Yet further, a penetration hole, through which a Velcro (RTM) tape can penetrate, may be formed at the front portion 21a of the arm main body 21. By this structure, in mounting the frame of the bicycle 70 onto the front end surface 21b of the arm main body 21 (see FIG. 4), the frame can be prevented from falling off from the arm main body 21, by making the Velcro tape penetrate through penetration hole and the frame and making the Velcro tape in an ring-like shape.
