Folding paper.-In a rotary folder of the kind in which sheets cut from a web W are taken by means of pins 7, 8 on the folding-cylinder 1 and are folded by a blade 9 between rolls 10, 11, manually-operated means are provided for varying the time at which the sheet-taking devices 7, 8 take and release the sheet in relation to the action of the folding-rolls, in order to enable the sheet to be accurately folded at all speeds of running of the machine. The adjustment is effected by shifting the position of the normally stationary cam 12, which operates the pins 7, 8, by means of a hand-operated worm 20 engaging worm teeth 19 on the cam. The cam is formed with slots 25 engaged by pins for steadying it.
