Abstract

A wedge shaped cushioning element 1 with securing means 3 and 4 to fasten it to a trampoline frame 6. The securing means 3 and 4 may be a hook and loop fastener arrangement which wraps around the trampoline frame members 6. In use the cushioning element 1 acts to cushion the fall of the trampolines outer arms 7 and 8 when they are folded in on itself for storage.

Description

L r
II 11 II till -***--------- Ii Itf-1⁄4., 2/2 Trampoline Safety Devices The trampoline safety devices relate to the operation of the trampoline, when the trampoline is folded away the outer folding arms swing over at an angle of 180 degrees and then lie flat on the trampoline coverall frame pads above the centre section of the trampoline.
This can mean that when the outer arms swing over and due to the force of the springs used to connect the trampoline bed to the frame work of the trampoline the persons folding away the trampoline have difficulty controlling the fall of the outer arms.
To overcome this and allow greater control of the folding arms the present invention proposes that when the trampoline safety devices are placed centrally on the coverall frame pads and securing into position with Velcro straps, they will cushion the fall of the outer arms.
The use of trampoline safety devices will ensure that the folding of the trampolines outer arms will be carried out with greater control.
The invention will now be described solely by the way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the trampoline safety devices 1-2 secured by Velcro straps, 3-4 onto the coverall frame pads, 5 that are seated upon the centre section of the trampoline, 6 ready for the folding of the outer arms 7 and 8.
Figure 2 shows the folded outer arm 7 has now had its fall cushioned by the trampoline safety devices 1-2.
Figure 3 shows the trampoline safety devices 1-2 are now placed onto the already folded outer arm 7 and secured by Velcro straps 3-4 ready for the folding of the other outer arm no' 8.
Figure 4 shows the folded outer arm 8 has now had it fall cushioned by the trampoline safety devices 1-2.
Claims Trampoline Safety Devices 1. A trampoline safety device, comprising attachments means for attaching to a trampoline to give cushioning of the outer arms when folding away.
2. A trampoline safety device according to claim 1 in which the cushioning means are provided by a specifically designed safety device.
3. A trampoline safety device according to any preceding claims in which the cushions means can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the angle and shape of the trampoline safety device.
