Clips, lever.-A buckle or other fastening 1, Fig. 3, for a belt for personal wear carries a lever clip 7 and a roller, bar, or the like 9, both mounted between ears, wings, or the like 3, on a plate or extension carried by or hinged to the buckle or other fastening, so that one end of the belt may be passed around the roller 9 and secured to the buckle 1 in adjusted position by the lever clip 7 to adjust the length of the belt. A plate 4, against which the belt is pressed by the lever clip, may be pivoted between the ears 3 and a lay band 11 for the free end of the belt may be formed integral with the plate 2. In a very similar form shown in Fig. 9, the parts of the doubled end 6 of the belt are pressed by the lever clip 7 directly against the extension plate 2, and the lay band 11 is carried by the lever clip. Fig. 10, shows a further modified form in which the forward end of the extension plate 2 is slotted and rolled back at 13, the end of the belt to be secured being passed through the slotted portion 12 of the plate.
