Abstract

A method of generating graphic data comprising generating a header including a piece of first information that is inevitably included irrespective of a predetermined graphic profile and a piece of first information that is optionally included according to the graphic profile, and generating a payload including a piece of second information that is inevitably included irrespective of a predetermined graphic profile and a piece of second information that is optionally included according to the graphic profile. The optionally included information may comprise information prescribing an inherent function of the graphic profile and information on the inherent function, which may comprise an order information maintenance function and an improved texture mapping function. The graphic profile may be a Core 3D compression profile, a graphic profile with 3DMC, or a graphic profile with 3DMC extension. 3D mesh model bitstreams may be completely decoded irrespective of the encoding method used to generate the bitstream.
