Electromagnetic current meters; induction motor meters. - An indicating or integrating ammeter comprises an induction motor meter or wattmeter having the voltage core b magnetically saturated, the usual magnetic shunt c and permanent brake magnet a being omitted, so that the meter readings are indepedent of fluctuations of supply pressure. The increased driving effect of the current coils d consequent upon a rise of supply pressure is counterbalanced by an equivalent increase of braking effect. A spring f is provided in an indicating instrument. The current to be measured is controlled by varying a resistance or capacity e.
