Abstract
245,020. Hatheway, W. E. July 11,- 1925. Buckles.-A one-piece buckle intended for use with garment supporters is shaped as shown in Figs. 2 and 8, and is provided with a clamp part 3 having teeth 9 by which one end of the webbing 10 of the supporter is attached to the buckle, as shown in Fig. 2, and a slotted head part which is inclined to the base of the clamp and has curved teeth 5 projecting therefrom and below the clamp to fasten the web in adjusted position. The end of the webbing 10 is adjusted squarely across the clamp part 3 before clamping by the aid of a slot 1 through which the end may be viewed. In a modified form, the clamping part 3 is turned in the opposite direction to that shown in Fig. 8, so that the webbing passes once only through the slot 4 in the head. In a further modified form, Fig. 11, the clamp part 11 is punched out of the blank and is bent back to clamp the webbing, the head being constructed as before. The arms 6 at the side of the buckle mav be slightly turned back to add to the appearance.
