ADULT BOARD GAME
Field of the Invention
1] The present invention relates to board games and, more specifically, board games involving perfonning instructions relating to adult actions and behavior.
Background of the Invention
2] There are a great number of games of chance available today. For most games available, a toss of the dice and luck determine the outcome of the game. These types of games may have appeal because there is no skill involved other than throwing dice to determine the players ultimate success or failure in the game. The disadvantage of these types of games to adults is that adult topics, innuendo and risque behavior has been almost totally ignored in the marketplace. There is a need for a game of chance which allows adults to explore adult topics, innuendo and risque behavior.
Summary of the Invention
3] The invention may be embodied as a board game having a substrate and instructions requiring selection of a card from a player card deck. The player card deck may be in the form of a male player card deck where at least some of the cards display adult themed instructions suitable for a male player. The player card deck may be in the form of a female player card deck where at least some of the cards display adult themed instructions suitable for a female player.
4] Another embodiment of the present invention may be a method of playing a board game. In one such method, a male player card deck may be provided where each card displays an adult themed instruction suitable for a male player, and a female player card deck may be provided where each card displays an adult themed instruction suitable for a female player. A female player may be selected to draw a card from the female player card deck and perform the instruction displayed on the drawn card, and a male player may be selected to
I
draw a card from the male player card deck and perform the instruction displayed on the drawn card.
Brief Description Of The Drawings
5] For a fuller understanding of the nature and objects of the invention, reference should be made to the accompanying drawings and the subsequent description. Briefly, the drawings are: Fig. 1, which is a top view of a board game; Fig. 2, which depicts a card displaying an instruction suitable for a male or female player, and Fig. 3, which depicts a flowchart showing a method of playing the board game.
Further Description of the Invention
6] The invention may be embodied as a board game 10. One such game is depicted in Fig. 1. The board game 10 may have a substrate 13. The board game 10 may also have instructions requiring selection of a card from a player card deck. One such player card deck may include a card 18 (Fig. 2) displaying an adult themed instruction suitable for a male player. Such a deck is referred to herein as a male player card deck 19. Another type of player card deck that may be used is a female player card deck 22, each card 18 (Fig. 2) of which may display an adult themed instTuction suitable for a female player.
7] Adults playing the game may be uncomfortable performing the instructions on the cards of the male player card deck or on the cards of the female player card deck. To accommodate these people, the board game may include one or more avatar card decks.
Such decks may include a computer generated, hand drawn or photographic avatar, which may substitute for the player performing an action when the adult themed instructions involve something the player is uncomfortable doing, like undressing in front of others. For example, the male player may select the appropriate male avatar 25 depicting the various undressing stages of a male player and display such card instead of performing the action himself.
II S
8] . Similarly, the board game may include an avatar card deck having cards which may substitute for the female player performing an action when the adult themed instructions involve something the player is uncomfortable doing, like undressing in front of others. In this case, the female player may select the appropriate female avatar 28 depicting various undressing stages of a female player and display such card instead of performing the action herself.
9] The board game substrate 13 may have a path 31, which provides an order of locations (some of which may be real estate locations 40). Player tokens 34 may be moved along the path 31. The distance the player may move his or her token 34 along the path 31 may be determined by a random distance generator 37. For example, the random distance generator 37 may be a pair of dice. A player may throw the dice to determine the distance to move that player's token 34 along the path 31.
0] The path may include a plurality of real estate locations 40 along the path 31 which may provide positions on the paths where the tokens 34 may be located. Names 43 may be associated with each of the real estate locations 40. In one embodiment of the present invention, the names 43 of at least some of the real estate locations 40 may have an adult theme.
1] The board game 10 may also provide a real estate card deck 46. Cards in the real estate card deck 46 may include information relating to one of the real estate locations 40 located along the path 31. Such information displayed on a real estate card 46 may include rent information relating to the real estate location 40, which may be used to compute fees if an opponent player's token 34 comes to rest on the real estate location 40. A player may obtain one of the real estate locations 40, and then collect payment from an opponent player in response to a token 34 of the opponent player resting on the obtained real estate location 40.
2] In another embodiment, the invention may be a method of playing the board game, as shown in the flow chart of Fig. 3. The game may be played by providing (Step 100) a substrate and providing (Step 200 or Step 250) player card decks. Cards in each player card deck may display an adult themed instruction suitable for a player of a particular gender. A male player may be selected for a turn and draw a card from the male player card deck (Step
II S
300), the cards of which display an adult instruction suitable for the male player. The male player may perform (Step 400) the instruction displayed on the drawn card.
3] Similarly, the board game maybe played by providing (Step 250) a female player card deck, cards of which display an adult themed instruction suitable for a female player. A female player may be selected (Step 300) for a turn and draw a card from the female player card deck. The female player may perform the instruction displayed on the drawn card (Step 400).
4] The method may provide (Step 600) an avatar card deck. The male player may decide (Decision 500) whether to perform the instruction himself, or utilize an avatar card, which may substitute for the male player when the adult themed instructions involve something the player is uncomfortable doing, for example undressing in front of others. In this case, the male player may select (Step 650) the appropriate avatar depicting the various undressing stages of the male player and display that card instead of performing the action himself.
5] Similarly, the female player may decide (Decision 500) whether to perform the instruction herself, or utilize an avatar card, which may substitute for the female player when the adult themed instructions involve something the player is uncomfortable doing, for example undressing in front of others. In this case, the female player may select (Step 650) the appropriate avatar depicting the various undressing stages of the female player and display that card instead of perfonning the action herself.
6] The substrate may be provided to have a path having an order of locations. The substrate 13 has locations where a token 34 may reside, and at least some of those may be real estate locations 40. The locations correspond to a direction along which tokens may be moved. Each player may move his/her respective token along the path. The distance the player may move his or her token along the path may be determined by a random distance generator. For example, the random distance generator may be a pair of dice, and a player may throw (Step 700) the dice to determine the distance to move (Step 800) that player's token along the path.
7] From the above, it will be understood that an embodiment provides: 1) A method of playing a board game compnsing: a) providing a male player card deck, having cards displaying an adult themed instruction suitable for a male player; b) providing a female player card deck, having cards displaying an adult themed instruction suitable for a female player; c) selecting a female player, d) drawing a card from the female player card deck; e) the female player performing the instruction displayed on the drawn card; f) selecting a male player; g) drawing a card from the male player card deck; and h) the male player performing the instruction displayed on the drawn card.
2) The method of clause I, further providing an avatar card deck displaying pictures of a male player in various stages of undressing, and using the avatar deck to substitute for the male player performing undressing instructions displayed on the drawn card.
3) The method of clause 2, wherein the pictures of the male player displayed on the cards in the avatar deck are computer generated.
4) The method of clause I, further providing an avatar card deck displaying pictures of a female player in various stages of undressing, and using the avatar deck to substitute for the female player performing undressing instructions displayed on the drawn card.
5) The method of clause 4, wherein the pictures of the female player displayed on the cards in the avatar deck are computer generated.
6) The method of clause 1, wherein the board game includes a substrate having a path along which the tokens are moved and, moving the tokens along the path.
7) The method of clause 6, further comprising determining a distance a player may move the token along the path by utilizing a random distance generator.
8) The method of clause 6, further comprising moving tokens on the substrate along the path.
9) The method of clause 6, wherein the path includes a plurality of real estate locations, the real estate locations providing positions on the path where the tokens may be located, and locating a token on one of the real estate locations.
10) The method of clause 9, wherein names associated with the plurality of real estate locations have an adult theme.
11) The method of clause 9, further comprising providing a real-estate card deck, one of the cards in the real estate card deck having information relating to one of the real estate locations, the information including rent information relating to the real estate location.
12) The method of clause 9, further comprising obtaining one of the real estate locations.
13) The method of clause 9, further comprising collecting payment from an opponent player in response to a token of the opponent player resting on the obtained real estate location.
8] Although the present invention has been described with respect to one or more particular embodiments, it will be understood that other embodiments of the present invention may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
Hence, the present invention is deemed limited only by the appended claims and the reasonable interpretation thereof.
