Abstract

244,277. Baker, E. Dec. 24, 1924. Anti-dazzle screens.-In an anti-dazzle screen for motor-vehicles of the kind comprising a blind 1 of flexible transparent material mounted on a vertical roller 2 in a casing 6 at one side of the vehicle and adapted to be extended across the vehicle, the blind is adapted to be secured in the extended position by means of a rubber suction cap 17 at its outer end engaging a support, e.g. the face of the wind-screen 13. In the construction shown the cup 17 is attached to a bracket 16 having a clip portion 15 embracing a rod 14 on the free edge of the blind. Adjustable suction cups 12 may also be mounted on the casing 6 for attaching the latter to tlte windscreen. The device may be combined with means for wiping the wind-screen, and the blind may be kept clear by a wiper arranged at the edges 9 of the slot in the casing G.
