Abstract

An anti-theft alarm suitable for use with tents or other outdoor shelters comprises a motion detector device located inside the shelter and a sounder triggered when motion is detected. The alarm may be armed and disarmed remotely by a wireless remote control unit. The alarm when triggered may send out an alarm message to a mobile telephone or to the remote control unit or to both devices. The alarm is battery operated and portable.

Claims (1)

  1. <p>CLAIM</p>
    <p>This device is based on a motion detection unit being placed inside the outdoor shelter/tent and operated by wireless remote control to prevent theft of the shelter/tent and it's contents.</p>
    <p>I) the range of detection will be determined by the unit placed inside the shelter depending on the size of the interior of the shelter/tent, a test function will be devised so that the alarm can set it's self to the surrounding area inside before being ready to be activated.</p>
    <p>2) The alarm unit is wirelessly activated/deactivated from outside the shelter/tent once placed inside, the alarm will sound a bleep to notify the user that it is active and bleep twice when deactivated.</p>
    <p>3) The alarm would be sounded when someone stepped into the shelter/tent without deactivating it or an attempt to gain access to the inside of the shelter/tent is made.</p>
    <p>4)Deluxe future models will be developed that would ring the users mobile phone to alert them to an intruder in the shelter/tent,also the alarm unit will be designed to transmit a signal to the wireless activation unit which the user keeps on them,to warn them when the alarm has been activated, this is for future models.</p>
