Abstract

Bluetooth-time is essentially a mobile chat room. An application is implemented using J2ME (Java for mobile phones) that allowed clients to communicate with each other via their phones free of charge using the bluetooth function. The total distance that bluetooth will function over is 10 meters. However this could be increased with the assistance of static hubs which could extend the range of bluetooth. Bluetooth-time is more than just a chatroom; our application allows you to rate everybody as a comparative match to you as a percentage, and vice versa. Once the application is running on the phone, a pass-code is required. This code is sent to the client's phone via a reverse billing SMS. The six character code changes on a weekly basis. The finial phase is the description about yourself which once opened is a check list which you mark to indicate which best describes your, this is then followed by an identical check list that you again mark to indicate which best describes the type of person you are looking for. The user's phone will vibrate and light up whenever a new user enters the chat room. Both users will receive a percentage of compatibility for each user, it is then up to each user if the want to make contact via the chat function.

<p>Description of Bluetooth-time</p>
<p>Bluetooth-time is essentially a mobile chat room. An application is implemented using J2ME (Java for mobile phones) that allowed clients to communicate with each other via their phones free of charge using the bluetooth function. The total distance that bluetooth will function over is 10 meters. However this could be increased with the assistance of static hubs which could extend the range of bluetooth.</p>
<p>Bluetooth-time is more than just a chatroom; our application allows you to rate everybody as a comparative match to you as a percentage, and vice versa.</p>
<p>Our application is available to download from our website for a small free. Once the application is running on the phone, a pass-code is required. This code is sent to the client's phone via a reverse billing SMS. The six character code changes on a weekly basis. Thus the charges are as followed: A one off charge for the download for the application and a weekly charge for the six character weekly code.</p>
<p>Once the application has been successfully downloaded it is saved to the user's phone.</p>
<p>When opened a command asking for the six character code will appear. This corresponds to the weekly reversed billed SMS that the user receives.</p>
<p>The finial phase is the description about yourself which once opened is a check list which you mark to indicate which best describes your, this is then followed by an identical check list that you again mark to indicate which best describes the type of person you are looking for.</p>
<p>Make sure that the bluetooth application on the mobile phone is turned on. The phone will then start to search for other users within the 10 meter radius.</p>

  1. <p>Claims 1. Bluetooth-time is a profile matching application for mobile
    communication devices, which operates through the phone to phone function of the device, for example, Bluetooth.</p>
    <p>2. A profile matching application according to claim 1, that can be accessed and utilised through the mobile communications devices ability to communicate through the local area, without the use of satellite communication.</p>
    <p>3 A profile matching application according to claim 1, that allows immediate and live contact and interaction with other persons using the application.</p>
    <p>4. A profile matching application according to claim 2, that allows the grading of the suitability of other users also using the application and within the range of the devise its being used on.</p>
