Abstract

A domestic smoke alarm or fire detector is provided with a pre-recorded voice message giving instructions on how to leave the property safely and calmly. The message is played after a conventional sounder has sounded. In addition messages giving safety advice are automatically issued every day, week or month.

Description
The invention relates to an alarm sounder called the Fire marshal, installed in a domestic smoke alarm, or a fire alarm detector head The alarm will have the same high pitch alarm as in conventional alarms, but after twenty or thirty seconds the fire marshal will give a pre recorded message preferably a ladys voice to instil calmness which will gives actions on how to leave the property safely and calmly and what to do in the event that a person is trapped in the property. The messages would only be very short about seven to ten seconds long and be incorporated in with a conventional alarm system.The conventional sounder would sound for a short time then the pre-recorded messages would sound giving instructions and these alarms would sound alternately one after the other.
The pre-recorded message alarm would sound for a number of messages then start again with the first message.
Also a function would be built in that at specific times of day, week or month fire safety precautions advice will be sounded to help occupants keep their property as safe as possible.
The fire Marshal can be recorded in other languages to assist in today's multi- cultural society.

  1. Claims Claim I The fire marshal includes a series of pre-recorded speaking
    messages which is incorporated in a domestic smoke alarm.lt would give audible speaking pre-recorded messages instructions on what occupants do in the event of a fire in the home.
    Claim 2 The Fire Marshal will at specific time of day, week or month give automatic advice via a pre-recorded speaking message on how to keep their property safe as possible from fire by canying out certain basic instructions.
