Abstract

A video marker, eg a retro reflective video marker which has a body made of rigid foam in the shape of a sphere and coated in micro aluminiumized glass spheres can be secured by means of adhesive or tape to the desired object or part of the anatomy providing an optical reflex for video tracking.

Description

RETRO REFLECTIVE VIDEO MARKER
This invention relates to a retro reflective video marker.
Video markers are a well known device in the field of Biomechanics, where they are utilized to track the path of a desired point as it travels past a video camera.
Video markers are normally made from plastic or a similar material which is covered in a reflective tape or cloth. However this method of applying a reflective coating does not give the marker the optimum desired surface.
According to the present invention there will be a spherical object made from rigid foam which will be spray coated in aluminiumized micro glass spheres.
The micro glass spheres give a smooth coating providing an effective optical reflex system, thus permitting a beam of light from the video camera source to be returned with immense clarity.
RefeTing to the drawing the retro reflective video marker comprises a raged foam sphere (A) which is coated with micro aluminiumized glass

Claims (2)
