Abstract
A toilet door comprising a basin and a device that allows the door to be opened once the basin has been used. The user is prevented from opening the toilet door until they wash their hands. The device 6 may be a flow sensor that actuates the door opener 7 that may be overridden. The basin may have a flexible drain pipe and flexible hot and cold water supply pipes. The supply may be controlled by a button on the floor. Alternatively the basin and device may be fixed to a wall and provide an alarm to facilitate a person leaving the toilet. The basin and device may be installed on an existing door.
