Abstract
A refrigeration unit for installation into a wall (E) of an enclosed construction has two doors, one located on either side of the wall. The refrigerator is constructed to allow access from either side of the wall into the refrigerated space. The enclosed construction may be a building, e.g. a domestic dwelling, and the doors may allow access from inside and outside the dwelling. The refrigeration unit may be used to provide a refrigerated space accessible for home deliveries of food produce. The refrigeration unit may have means to prevent unauthorised access, such as locks (H,I) and the refrigerated space may have a barrier to prevent persons from climbing through it. Means to fix the refrigeration unit to the wall (C) may also be provided, which locate in a wall cavity (D).

Description: The Delivery Refrigerator
Background
Within this information age, we've seen a great movement towards having goods delivered.
Increasingly, households and businesses are gaining faith in delivery mechanisms, and making greater use of them. Thus far this has worked really well for non-perishable"hard" goods, but the growth of perishables delivery has been rather slow. I see this slow growth being caused by a few adversities which perishables delivery faces. The two greatest adversities that I perceive are inconvenience and spoilage. Inconvenience, in that the recipient has to usually be at home for a 2 or more hour window to receive the goods physically, and spoilage, either caused by raw elements of wind and rain or by the effects of these elements-ice-cream melting, milk going off, theft, etc.
The Solution
The Delivery Refridgerator is one small step to overcoming these problems. The Delivery
Refridgerator will allow delivery of perishable goods into a climatically controlled environment, accessible both internally and externally, while maintaining a safe environment internally. It will reduce the effects of spoilage and theft, by being both refridgerated and by limiting access externally through a locking device, and maintain safety internally, by having physical barriers fixed into the wall of the building, which blockade intruders whom try to break-in.
It will also have the added advantage of convenience, in that both the recipient does not need to be home to accept delivery, and the deliverer can pack the goods for the recipient neatly.
How it works The only difference between my Refridgerator and a standard Refridgerator is that it allows both internal and external access, by being placed into the wall of a construction. It is secured there in a similar way to a door/window, and has some form of physical barrier which disallows break-ins.
Features Essential Features . Both internal and limited external Access The product will be secured to the Construction Climatically controlled environment Non-essential, but important features Catch type Handle (J) which disallows the product from being opened from the inside Possbly a two-way lock which only allows one door to be opened at a time Introduction to the drawings I have included five drawings of the Delivery Refridgerator which I wish to have patent protection over: 1. C. Safety Bars which are secured in the cavity of the external walls D. Cavity of the walls E. The buildings walls themselves F. Ground level (outside the building) G. Floor Level (inside the building) H. External key-hole-acts as handle 1. Internal Latch type lock Examples of how it may be used For delivery domestically (i. e. : online/telephone/mail order grocery shopping), or between businesses. Recipient companies could have a standard size, or even large, possibly walk-in fridge's and delivery companies their own key, and so safe deliveries can be made throughout the night, with perishable goods fresh for the following morning.
Claims (1)
- CLAIMS (1) The Delivery Fridge is a climatically controlled storage space that is fitted into the wall of an enclosed construction.(2) The article referred to in (1) is sealed and limits access externally by means of a locking device (3) The article referred to in (2) ensures a safe environment internally (to the enclosed construction) by having barriers that disallow people from climbing through it.To further improve the enclosed constructions internal safety, a non-essential feature could be added to the article (3). This could take the form of a catch type handle that would disallow people from opening the interior (to the construction) door from within the fridge. On the other hand, the interior and exterior doors could be fitted with a special locking device that only allowed one door to be opened at a time.
