Abstract

A method of analysing events is provided, in which a television signal of an event to be analysed is recorded, the video part of the recorded signal is stored (48) as a set of data files representing in a graphical format selected frames of the video signal, and the audio part of the recorded signal is converted (46) into a graphical format representing the waveform of the audio signal. The graphical representation of the audio signal is presented with the selected frames of the video signal in a combined graphical format display (52), allowing the audio and video events recorded in the television signal to be compared and matched.
