Abstract

The wheel theft alarm consist of two metalic disks with four or five holes to allow the wheel bolts to pass through the disks. One disk fits on the back face of the wheel and the other disk fits on the face of the hub; the wheel is then secured and the two disk's make contact. If anyone attempts to remove the wheel the contact between the disks is broken and the alarm is triggered.

disks (approx 3mm in thickness).
Disk 'W' fits snugly over the wheel hub, disk "B" fits on the inside face of the wheel. When the wheel nuts are tight, it will bring the disk's face to face, as shown in fig 1. If the wheel removed or loosened this will break contact between disk 'W' and disk B setting off the wheel alarm.
Notes The disks are metalic to withstand heat and possibly allow for more flexibility in the designing of the alarm system. The disk will be made to suit four of five wheel nut stubs. The disk will also respond to movement, le if someone attemps to tow the car away. The alarm will be a simple on and off switch box hidden inside the car, because of removing the wheel for a puncture.
2 Claims
The wheel disk alarm is a product designed to prevent the theft of wheels from a person automobile. It work off a simple principle. The break of contact between between two metal disks will cause the alarm to be set off.
The disk will have hole's which align with the set of four or five bolts which secure the wheel to the hub.
Disk A will fit on the inside of wheel and disk B will fit on the outside of the hub, as the wheel bolt tightens the wheel the two metalic plates form a contact with each other if any attempt is made to remove the wheel the disk's will separate breaking the contact and setting off the alarm.
The Electronic Alarm will have an on/off switch to allow removal of the wheel for maintenance or repair.
