Abstract
An amusement and gaming machine payout converter comprises an electronic circuit with means to intercept and collate the output payout pulses generated by software in the machine and to convert the pulses to achieve payouts which may be less than, equal to, or greater than the intended monetary or token value of the original payout pulses. Such a converter allows existing machines to be compatible with new legislation which sets out new limits of awards of cash and/or tokens.
Description
TITLE = AMUSEMENT AND GAMING MACHINE PAYOUT CONVERTER.
This invention relates to
Amusement with prizes and or Gaming machines Cash and Token payout systems.
Background,
Prizes won from Amusement with prizes and or Gaming machines are paid in cash and or tokens, every three years legislation allows for a review of limits of awards of cash and or tokens.
Historically these award limits have largely kept pace with the rate of inflation,at present the prize awards are set at up to i3 paid in cash and wins of over L3 and up to 6 are paid totally in tokens.
A problem in manufacture exists prior to each review as the new awards are unknown to the machine manufacturers who are designing machines which may or may not be compatible with the new awards.
Description
This invention utilises the output payout pulses generated by software existing in all amusement with prizes and or gaming machines and the like, and by electronic means counts these pulses and converts these pulses in such a way as to achieve payouts which are equal to lesser than or greater than the intended monetary and or token value of the original fixed payout pulses, the desired but not limited design will be capable of achieving payouts of single or combinations of coins and or tokens.
Example,
Payout devices fitted to all amusement with prizes and or gamins machines or the like have common payout hardware which consists of the means to pay independently 10p coin, 20p coin, 50p coin. i1 coin and tokens with a value of 20p, In order to change a machine which pays out L6 in tokens to an all cash machine then the preffered coin to payout would be the 1.
the electronic device receives 30 x 20p token pulses and outputs 6 x 1. pulses thereby achieving the conversion.
