Abstract

A card-operated amusement apparatus includes a computer which records the number of times an electronic gambling machine or electronic computer game or electronic pinball machine is requested to function and calculates, from programmed instructions, the bill to be charges and/or winnings to be credited, as appropriate, to the credit card or charge card or payment card or debit card placed into the apparatus. The programmed instructions can be amended, if required, with revised tariff and/or revised win prizes and/or revised probabilities of winning particular prizes and/or revised probabilities of losing and/or to operate in a different currency.

Description

ELECTRONIC GAMBLING MACHINES AND ELECTRONIC COMPUTER GAMES AND ELECTRONIC PINBALL MACHINES THIS INVENTION RELATES TO ELECTRONIC GAMBLING MACHINES, ELECTRONIC COMPUTER GAMES, AND ELECTRONIC PINBALL HACHINES.
THE NORMAL MEANS OF PAYMENT TO FUNCTION ELECTRONIC GAMBLING MACHINES OR ELECTRONIC COMPUTER GAMES OR ELECTRONIC PINBALL MACHINES IS THE INSERTING OF SPECIFIED COINS OR TOKENS INTO A SLOT THEY HAVE.
IF GIVEN, CHANGE OR WINNINGS IS EXPELLED IN COINAGE OR TOKEN FORM.
MY INVENTION IS A NEW PAYMENT SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC GAMBLING MACHINES, ELECTRONIC COMPUTER GAMES, AND ELECTRONIC PINBALL MACHINES AND IS NOW DESCRIBED:- A COMPUTER WHICH RECORDS THE NUMBER OF TIMES THE ELECTRONIC GAMBLING MACHINE OR ELECTRONIC COMPUTER GAME OR ELECTRONIC PINBALL MACHINE IS REQUESTED TO FUNCTION AND CHARGES THE RESULTANT BILL, FROM CALCULATIONS BASED ON THE TARIFF INSTRUCTIONS PROGRAMMED INTO THE COMPUTER, TO THE CREDIT CARD OR CHARGE CARD OR PAYMENT CARD OR DEBIT CARD PLACED INTO THE COMPUTER. SHOULD THERE BE ANY WINNINGS THEN THESE CAN BE CREDITED, AS CALCULATED FROM INSTRUCTIONS PROGRAMMED INTO THE COMPUTER, TO THE CARD PLACED INTO THE COMPUTER.
THE INSTRUCTIONS PROGRAMMED INTO THE COMPUTER FROM WHICH THE COMPUTER CALCULATES THE BILL TO BE CHARGED AND/ OR WINNINGS CAN BE AMENDED WITH REVISED TARIFF AND/OR REVISED WIN PRIZES AND/OR REVISED PROBABILITIES OF WINNING PARTICULAR PRIZES AND/ OR REVISED PROBABILITIES OF LOSING.

1A COMPUTER WHICH RECORDS THE NUMBER OF TIMES AN ELECTRONIC GAMBLING MACHINE OR ELECTRONIC COMPUTER GAME OR ELECTRONIC PINBALL MACHINE IS REQUESTED TO FUNCTION AND CALCULATES FROM PROGRAMMED INSTRUCTIONS THE CHARGE TO BE DEBITED AND/OR WINNINGS TO BE CREDITED AS APPROPRIATE TO THE CREDIT CARD OR CHARGE CARD OR PAYMENT CARD OR DEBIT CARD PLACED INTO THE COMPUTER.
2 A COMPUTER AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1 WHICH CAN CALCULATE THE BILL AND/OR WINNINGS FROM PROGRAMMED INSTRUCTIONS AND THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE AMENDED TO OPERATE,IF REQUIRED, BASED ON A DIFFERENT CURRENCY.
3 A COMPUTER AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1 OR CLAIM 2 WHICH HAS PROGRAMMED INSTRUCTIONS FROM WHICH THE BILL TO BE CHARGED AND/OR WINNINGS TO BE CREDITED ARE CALCULATED AND THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE AMENDED, IF REQUIRED, WITH REVISED TARIFF AND/OR REVISED WIN PRIZES AND/OR REVISED PROBABILITIES OF WINNING PARTICULAR PRIZES AND/OR REVISED PROBABILITIES OF LOSING.
