Abstract
A cleaning apparatus comprising two nozzles each fitted with a hose, one supplying water and the other supplying a concentrated detergent, means are provided to trigger the flow of either water or detergent selectively from their respective nozzles or both simultaneously.
Description
DISCRIPTION.
CONCENTRATE DETERGENT PRESSURE CLEANER.
This invention relates to high water pressure vehicle washing machines.
Pressure washers are well know machines which normally comprise of a Motor which drives a pump which in turn forces water through a reinforced hose with a lance fitted to the end, to which a narrow bore nozzel is fitted.
Depending on the type of nozzel fitted the result achieved is either a fan or a pencil jet of high pressure water used for the cleaning of various things, predomenantly Motor Vehicles.
These machines often comprise of a heating coil to inrease the temprature of the water and also a system to enable a cleaning agent to be included in the water, by way of suction through the machines pump or a venturi system.
These machines however, reduce the strength of the cleaning agent due to the fact that it is delivered in the water itself. In order to deliver concentrate detergent it would be necesserry to use a seperate source.
According to the present invention there is provided a conventional machine comprising of an electric motor or a fuel driven engine, a water pump, water inlet, high pressure outlet and a high pressure water hose.
In addition the present invention also comprises of a smaller detergent pump powered by the electric motor if electrically powered or in the case of a fuel driven engine, the pump is powered by the engines ignition battery whose charge level is maintained in the normal way.,A cleaning agent suction hose with filter, and high pressure detergent hose.
The high pressure hoses for both the water and detergent are permenantly connected and fitted to a double barrelled lance, the water hose is fitted to the top barrell via a trigger system to controll the water jet and the detergent hose is fitted to the bottom barrell and is controlled via an on/off tap.
Figure 1 shows the machine as described above.
Figure 2 shows the double barrelled lance as described above.
Claims (2)
- CLAIMS.An engine or electric motor driven pressure washer with the means to supply a cleaning agent without diluting it as a result of drawing the agent through the high pressure water hose. This is done by means of an extra pump dedicated to the cleaning agent only, pumping the agent through a seperate high pressure hose that is joined to the high pressure water hose along its full length where both of the hoses are then conected to a double barrell lance. The lance can then be used to control the water jet and the cleaning agent. As mentioned in the discription the trigger is used to start and stop the water jet and the on/off tap for the cleaning agent, enableing the operator to use either the water or cleaning agent or both simoultainiously without returning to the machine. When using both water and cleaning agent together the high pressure of the water jet draws the fine spray of cleaning agent into its flow (fig.3). so that they mix before touching the object being cleaned.
- 2.A concentrate detergent pressure washer as claimed in Claim 1 is able to deliver a cleaning agent in its most concentrated form to the object that is being cleaned without the use of a seperate source.3 The double barrell lance as claimed in Claim 1 allows the operator to use either the water or cleaning agent or both simoultainiously without returning to the machine or using a seperate source.4 In the case of a fuel driven motor the detergent pump is powered by the engines battery whose charge level is maintained in the normal way, thus allowing the machine to be used without the need for a mains supply of electricity.
