Abstract
207,092. Penman, A. N., and Smith, D. Feb. 17, 1923. Contacts.-A plug-and-socket connector hasmale or female members with rectangularsection shanks 14 which are mounted between two insulating blocks 13 the meeting edges of which are cut to form rectangular openings 15 of greater section and lesser length than the shanks so that certain freedom for self-aligning purposes is imparted to the contacts. The shanks 14 have flanges 16, 17 engaging each face of the insulating blocks and carry screws and clamping plates 20 at one end for the connecting cable cores and have contact plates 18 secured at each side of a projection 16<a> at the other end to constitute a female member to engage a fixed male member 6 on the switch panel 1.
