Abstract
202,111. Preston, L. G., and Drabble, J. C. W. June 17, 1922. Undesired signals, eliminating or limiting.-In a receiving system for preventing interference, an auxiliary or intermediate circuit is inductively coupled between the aerial and detector. This circuit comprises two tunable portions and a third tunable portion in parallel with each of the first two, and adapted to by-pass undesired energy. As shown, the auxiliary circuit comprises two branches L<2>, C<2>, L<3>, C<3> each tuned to the desired wave, and a third branch containing the circuit L<5>, C<5>, which is also tuned to the desired wave. A tuned circuit L<4>, C<4> passes the received currents on to the receiver. The inductances and capacities may be mechanically coupled so that the various circuits may be tuned with one operation.
