Abstract

Apparatus for converting wave energy into useful consumable energy comprises a submersible unit incorporating a high pressure chamber 1 having non-return water inlet ports 3 and a low pressure chamber 2 having non-return water outlet ports 4, whereby in use water can be fed from the high pressure chamber through a turbine 11 into the low pressure chamber 2. Each chamber may be provided with gas valves (not shown) to permit adjustment of gas pressure in the chambers. <IMAGE>
