Abstract

A plug-in meter for measuring the total time of operation of a portable electrical appliance, e.g. a power tool, comprises a housing, an electric motor (17) accommodated in said housing and adapted to rotate in response to electric current flowing through electrically conducting means (4), and a counter (10) accommodated in said housing and arranged to count the revolutions of said motor (17). Flexible electrically conducting power supply means (4) have at one end plug pin means (2) for insertion into an electric outlet socket and are connected at the opposite end to said electric appliance (15) and are adapted to supply electric power thereto. <IMAGE>
